How long do breast implants last?
Breast implants are long-lasting but not considered lifetime devices. Many patients enjoy their results for 10–15 years or longer. With modern implants such as Motiva®, durability and performance have improved, but periodic monitoring is recommended.
What size breast implants should I choose?
The ideal implant size depends on your anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. During your consultation in Newport Beach, Dr. Jed Horowitz will guide you through sizing options to achieve a natural, balanced result that complements your body.
Will my breast augmentation look natural?
Yes. Dr. Horowitz specializes in creating natural-looking results using advanced techniques such as the Preserve™ method and Motiva® implants, which are designed to mimic the movement and feel of natural breast tissue.
What is recovery like after breast augmentation?
Most patients experience mild to moderate discomfort for the first few days, with a return to light activities within about a week. Full recovery, including return to exercise, typically occurs within 4–6 weeks.
Can breast implants be placed above or below the muscle?
Yes. Implants can be placed either under the muscle (submuscular) or above the muscle (subglandular). The best placement depends on your anatomy and desired outcome, which will be discussed during your consultation.
Will I have visible scars after breast augmentation?
Incisions are carefully placed in discreet locations, such as the breast crease or around the areola, to minimize visible scarring. Over time, scars typically fade and become less noticeable.
Can I combine breast augmentation with a breast lift?
Yes. Many patients benefit from combining breast augmentation with a breast lift to restore both volume and position, especially after pregnancy or weight loss.
Are breast implants safe?
Breast augmentation is a well-established procedure with a strong safety profile when performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon. Modern implants, including Motiva®, are designed with advanced safety features and are extensively studied.
Will breast augmentation affect breastfeeding?
In many cases, patients are still able to breastfeed after breast augmentation. Surgical technique and incision placement can help preserve breast function, though this should be discussed during your consultation.
How soon will I see my final results?
Initial results are visible right after surgery, but final results develop over several weeks to months as swelling subsides and implants settle into position.
What is the Preserve™ method?
The Preserve™ method is an advanced surgical approach used by Dr. Horowitz that focuses on minimizing trauma to the breast tissue while maintaining natural structures, helping support healing and long-term results.
How much does breast augmentation cost in Newport Beach?
The cost varies depending on implant type, surgical complexity, and whether additional procedures are performed. A personalized quote is provided during your consultation with Dr. Jed Horowitz.
